Hand Painted Mike Schmidt Baseball Card

This is the second Mike Schmidt card I have worked on. I immediately liked the look in his eyes and the shadow on his face caused by the brim of his hat. It was challenging, but I thought it was executed well with the shadow coming out looking better than I expected. Schmidt was one of the best athletes of his time; teammate Pete Rose once said, “To have his body, I’d trade him mine and my wife’s, and I’d throw in some cash.”

  1. Sorry but if you look at the card it is based on it looks extremely similar to the original. It is a 1975 Topps Mike Schmidt #70 Baseball Card. Look it up. Its pretty darn close so I dont think your comment was appropriate at all.
Your comment was a little uncalled for. All caps and a bit insulting? I dont know what to say.
